A mysterious 230-year-old rock found in a french harbor which stymied cryptographers for many decades has finally been translated. The inscription on the rock appears to memorialize a man named Sergei who died at Sea a few years before the French Revolution started. However, other equally plausible translations indicate that Sergei’s death may have been the result of foul play. The rock was discovered in 1979, but the bizarre mixture of languages and the difficult to decipher script defied explanation until now. The only phrase that had previously been legible was “Through these words, you will see the truth.” the truth about what happened To Sergei apparently.
